Aktueller Stand

Liebe Leute!

Ich wollte euch nur mitteilen, wie weit alles so ist. Ich habe am Freitag die letzte der drei Impfungen bekommen. Ich habe jetzt insgesamt 9 Spritzen gegen Gelbfieber, Tollwut, Typhus etc. bekommen und ich habe keinen Cent bezahlt - Danke BKK VBU!

Das Visum habe ich auch schon, dazu musste ich in die Botschaft von Togo. Dort habe ich 50 € gezahlt und konnte mir 2 Wochen später das Visum abholen. Die Dame konnte zwar fast kein Deutsch und mein Französisch ist auch noch bescheiden, aber wir haben es zusammen geschafft das Formular auszufüllen...

Beim Abholen musste ich zu einem netten Herren. Mit dem ich mich auch fast nur auf Französisch unterhalten habe.

Weiterhin habe ich jetzt auch eine Reiseversicherung abgeschlossen. Die übernimmt die Kosten für Behandlungen vor Ort und Transportiert mich im Notfall in eine Deutsche Klinik... Naja immer die Frage, ob das alles gerecht ist, aber das eigene Leben, so man es denn kann, sollte man schon versichern... Dazu später vielleicht mehr. Vieles wird anders werden und damit muss ich klar kommen und werde es versuchen auch mal hier zu reflektieren.

So jetzt fahre ich erst mal für zwei Wochen mit der Gemeinde auf "Sommerrüste" mit ca. 60 Jugendlichen und dann gehts für zwei Wochen nach La Gomera mit der Familie...

Hey Guys! I just wanted to let you know how everything is concerning my trip to Africa! I got the last of the three shots friday. I have a total of nine shots now against yellow fiever, typhus and rabies and I didnt have to pay anything, thanks to health insurance.

The visa I have got already as well. I had to go to the embassady of Togo. I had to pay 50 € and two weeks later I could get the visa. The ladie was very nice and eventhought she barely spoke german and I hardly any french we managed to fill out the form. Whenever I got the visa I had to go to a nice men. I talked almost only french with him.

Moreover I have a "journey insurance" now. It covers the costs for any treatment and in case of an emergency they pay for me to go to a german hospital. Its always the question if this is just but the own life, if one can say, is worth beeing insurde... About that issue more later. A lot will be different and I have to get used to it, I will try and reflect my thoughts about it on here some time.

I will go to a church trip for two weeks now, its called "Sommerrüste" and we will be with around 60 young people. After that I'll go to La Gomera in Spain for two more weeks with my family.
